no Dslr for me yet.

so many people thought i already got myself a Dslr camera after that last post i did namely "Earth Hour Fun".. in fact, many of them thought i got myself a D90, but i haven't got any Dslr camera yet.. ):

Chair

Comfortable chair is very important if you are planning to spend alot of time infront of the pc. uncomfortable chair can lead to back pain and sleeplessness, that is if you are also planning to sleep infront of your pc. and frankly, my chair is not verycomfortable anymore, it still gives excellent back support but my butt feels numb after sitting on it for few hours.

here's my current chair.. its so old, it got my butt print on it. no you cant see it in the picture cause the flexible leather covers it.


then, i came with this idea, it helps alot! but not quite finish. so i made some more modifications.

Earth Hour Fun.

People around the world post pictures of their country in darkness as a result of the Earth Hour. Sadly, Brunei didn't signed up for it and i cant take picture of Brunei in darkness. but, it doesn't matter whether if Brunei sign up for it or not, cause every year Brunei have its own Earth Hour sometimes its Earth Hours or even Earth Day, i don't remember ever experiencing Earth Days but it might have happened long time ago, if you know what i mean. (:

but in our household, we try to save energy for an hour by cutting the electricity in our house for an hour, not only that it 'might' buy Earth some time, it also cuts off some of the electricity bill.

and during that hour of darkness, not total darkness thanks to the emergency lighting, i took advantage of the situation and captured some pictures.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour was done last night (28.03.2009) as an effort for Human to buy some time and ultimately, find the solution for global warming or just enough time for us to build rockets to take us to the soon-to-be livable Mars. I mean, if greenhouse effect can make Mars livable then humans are more than qualified to move to Mars.

more like an advertisement but whatever.



The "60" is a bit misleading cause it took me awhile to know that it actually stands for 60 minutes, as in 1 hour. so i played around with Ms Paint and depict roughly what Earth Hour's logo should be.




but then the "60" gave an idea.. let's translate 1 hour in second, which will make the logo looks more or less like this



IMO, it will look way cooler if its in microseconds

Windows XP's Biggest Update yet

looks like windows are doing something right for once.

i seriously think the song "thinking of you" by Katy Perry are about me using Windows but still in love with Ubuntu.

but hey, any Linux is a significant upgrade from Windows OS.

and Ubuntu 9.04 a.k.a "Jaunty Jackalope" is coming out this April.


i need to delete some of my torrents to give space for this new Distro^^

SMSA orientation day picturess

Every new form 6 students have to go through some sort of orientation.

orientation are a way for new students to learn more about their school.

and although i didn't learn anything else beside my way around the school, it was fun.


for the most parts, it is run by our seniors, the form 6 intake of 2008.


Afternoon after the briefing on the first day of orientation.

Afternoon part of the first day of Orientation day.
please note that some of the pictures below can be misleading.

as you can see, that guy is scrathing his head. that is because he cant find his group, us newcomers aint got no team to join during the orientation activities.


hence, we made a group of our own called "super leet newcomers group".
Fakhrul was in it with me and a bunch of other leet peoples


a brief discussion was made bout the formation of the group and a decision was made.


the new group was disbanned. ): "reason: not local food name"
and i was conscripted into another group called Bingka Manis dan Susu.

actually we had to guess the names our the senior staffs in the school. note that i said guess


at another venue, the school canteen, where we had to play scissor paper rock.
no lies there dude and dudettes.


we won the rock paper scisssor tournaments and went on to the next venue.


Ayen had to blow white powders made of, no its not drug, but some other consumable powder for our next clue.


we read doa selamat at the next venue.



and had to guess the number of beans given in a plastic bags.
actually we had to count the beans but it is easier for us to just say the number one by one till we got it correct.
